Game Day “Meet Your Knights”: Sophomore Sarah Bain

Our first sophomore of the “Meet Your Knights” campaign– here’s GSUVB’s defensive specialist Sarah Bain from Springville, NY!

My full name is… Sarah Marie Bain.

My nickname is… Sarah.

My birthday is… August 14th.

My major is…Communications.

My family members are… Tim Bain (dad), Michele Bain (mom), Matt Bain (28 yrs.), and Jon Bain (26 yrs.)

My hobbies/interests are…sailing.

I chose GSU because… of the excellent academic programs, the beautiful campus, and the prospect of being on the volleyball team.

My favorite athlete is… Kerri Walsh Jennings.

My favorite movie is… Forrest Gump.

My favorite TV show is… The Office.

My favorite sports team is… the Knicks.

My favorite food is… spinach artichoke dip.

My favorite place on campus is… Fraiser Library.

My favorite cartoon character is… Spongebob.

My favorite vacation spot is… Bar Harbor, Maine.

My favorite volleyball player is… Matt Anderson.

I started volleyball at age… 11.

My favorite thing about GSU Volleyball is…that we are a close-knit family.

Before every match, I… listen to music.

In off-season training, I worked on… wall passing.

The best thing about GSU is…that the people who go here are incredibly nice and welcoming.

When I run out onto the court in Schrader Gym, I think…”this is what I’ve been working for”.

My idea of happiness is…exploring the world.

I would like to have the ability to… roll my tongue.

My fantasy job/career would be…acting.

One thing I absolutely have to do before I turn 40 is… go skydiving.

My post-college/career plans are…to find a job that deals with my major and buy a house.

If I could bring one thing from my hometown to college, it would be… chicken wings.

My greatest achievement/regret is…being accepted into Geneseo, which was my first-choice school.

If I could have one superpower, it would be…the power to control time.
